How to delete your account, in the app or on the website, what goes, and what to keep first.

  • In the app: More, then Settings, then Your account, then Delete my account.
  • On the website: sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete my account. If you cannot see Settings, it is under More.
  • Everything goes at once. You are offered a download of the whole record first.
  • Copies in our backups are gone within 30 days.

01In the app

Open More, then Settings, then Your account, and choose Delete my account. You are offered the download first, and asked to confirm before anything is deleted.

02On the website

Sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete my account. If you cannot see Settings, it is under More. It does the same as the app: the download first, then a question to confirm.

03Before it goes

You are offered a download of the whole record to keep: every horse, and every entry on each one, in a file you can open without us.

The law asks whoever keeps a horse to keep the record of the medicines it has been given. If you still keep the horse, keep the download, or print the medicines record from each horse's page first. Ask your vet how long to keep it.

04What is deleted

All of it, at once:

  • Your account: your email address, your name, your phone number and your password.
  • Your horses, and every entry on them, whoever made it: health, medicines, worming, jabs, the farrier, weights, feed, turnout, rides and their routes, costs, papers and notes.
  • Each horse's photograph.
  • Everything else you added: your yard, its fields and stables, your kit, and the people you ring.

It cannot be undone, which is why the download comes first.

A web browser you left signed in on another computer keeps its copies of the pages you opened there, and clears them the next time it reaches us.

05Anybody else with access

Nobody else can see your horses. If other people are members of your yard, we tell each of them their access has ended.

06The backups

The database and the photographs are backed up every night. Copies of what you deleted are gone from the backups within 30 days, as the old backups are deleted.

07If you cannot sign in

If you have forgotten your password, set a new one, then delete the account yourself.

If you cannot get in at all, write to hello@equivena.com from the email address on the account, and say you want it deleted. We check the account is yours, then delete it, within a month of your email.
